US retail sales to stage a rebound – Capital Economics

“This week we anticipate a solid rebound in March’s retail sales (Tuesday). That would support our theory that the weakness in the preceding two months was mainly due to the weather, with the Northeast suffering its coldest winter since records began 120 years ago.”

“In contrast, March’s industrial production figures (Wednesday) will be atrocious, with mining, utilities and manufacturing output all shrinking.”

“Otherwise, the rebound in gasoline prices points to a 0.4% m/m increase in March’s consumer prices (Friday), although the annual CPI inflation rate will remain close to zero.”

US rate hike likely to shift to Q3 2015 – Nomura
