NZD/USD rises back above 0.8500 after NFP
FXStreet (Córdoba) - The NZD/USD jumped after NFP and rose to 0.8533, hitting the strongest level since Tuesday. Earlier bottomed at 0.8460, reaching an 8-week low.
A sharp decline in the US dollar across the board following US employment number, that showed that the economy created 209.000 jobs in July, below expectations, pushed the NZD/USD to the upside.
NZD/USD still low for the week
Currently trades at 0.8515, up 0.18% for the day but still 45 pips below the price it had a week ago. The Kiwi is headed toward the third weekly decline in a row and the lowest close since early June.
